Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and cook according to the package directions.
  2. Drain and set the pasta aside.
Cooking
  1. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and smoked sausage slices to the pan and sear until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the diced onion, red bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are fragrant and softened.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and heavy cream. Stir in the paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer on low for about 5 minutes to thicken.
Assembly
  1. Add the cooked pasta shells into the creamy sauce and toss until thoroughly coated.
  2. Before serving, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a healthier version, use whole-grain pasta and reduce heavy cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
