For the Filling
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced Use low-sodium ham for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped Add extra spinach for more fiber.
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Reduced-fat cream cheese can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
For the Pastry
  • 1 package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash) Gives a golden finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ham, chopped spinach, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the ham and spinach mixture onto each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
