Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Add the twisted pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Searing the Steak
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
- Lower the heat to medium and melt the butter in the same skillet. Add heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, stirring well. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
Combining Everything
- Return the steak bites to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Fold in the grated Parmesan cheese gently until well combined, allowing heat to melt the cheese and create a creamy sauce.
Notes
For meal prep: stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently, adding milk if sauce is too thick. For healthier variations, consider using chicken or turkey instead of steak, and Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream. Add minced garlic for extra flavor.
