  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained Canned corn can be replaced with fresh corn if desired.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Feel free to mix different cheeses.
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots You can substitute with homemade tater tots if preferred.
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken or cream of celery soup.
  • 1/2 cup milk Use whole milk for creaminess.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir until well combined.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer the beef mixture, followed by the drained corn, and then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  5. Finally, arrange the tater tots evenly over the cheese layer.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can freeze the casserole before or after baking. To freeze before baking: assemble in a freezer-safe dish, cover tightly, and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before baking and add a few extra minutes to cook time.
