Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, melt the butter and mix it with cocoa powder and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
Mousse Preparation
- Beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Melt the chocolate and let cool slightly.
- Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream along with powdered sugar.
- Spread the mousse evenly over the cooled brownies.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Best served chilled. Can be garnished with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
