Preparation
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions, mixing with eggs, oil, and water until smooth.
- Bake brownies in a greased pan, then let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- Crumble the cooled brownies into a large bowl.
- Add the cherry filling or chopped maraschino cherries to the crumbled brownies and mix until combined.
- Take small amounts of the mixture and form them into balls, placing a cherry in the center of each ball.
Chocolate Coating
- Melt the chocolate wafers or chocolate chips according to package instructions, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each brownie ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sprinkles if desired.
- Allow to set until the chocolate hardens, either at room temperature or in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Serving
- Once set, serve the brownie bombs at your next gathering, or enjoy them at home.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Let thaw in the fridge before serving.
