Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
  2. Grease a 20cm square cake tin and line the bottom with baking paper.
  3. Cut the butter into small cubes and break the dark chocolate into small pieces. Place both in a saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously until melted.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and caster sugar until thick and pale.
  6. Stir in the cooled melted chocolate mix, then the flour and cocoa powder until well combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the brownie mixture into the lined cake tin and spread it out evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
  3. Let the brownies cool in the tin for 5-10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, cut into 16 squares.

Notes

For healthy substitutions, consider sugar substitutes, almond flour, or adding nuts and dried fruits. Store in an airtight container.
