  • 1/2 cup milk Contributes to creaminess.
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided) Reduced-fat cheese can be used for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder Adds flavor without overwhelming.
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Brings a mild smoky flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste) Adjust according to personal preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook rice according to package instructions; steam broccoli until just tender.
Mixing
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Combining
  1. Add cooked chicken, rice, broccoli, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese; mix until fully combined.
Assembling
  1. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and pack it down slightly.
  2. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
  3. If using breadcrumbs, mix with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
Baking

Notes

Using brown rice adds fiber. This casserole is meal prep-friendly and can last up to 5 days in the fridge.
