Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your loaf pan by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, beaten eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Press half of the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon over the meat layer.
- Top with the remaining meat mixture and press it down gently.
- Brush more ketchup over the top for a glaze.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until cooked through.
- Let the meatloaf rest in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm with a dollop of ketchup. Pairs well with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or salad. Leftovers can be used in sandwiches.
