Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cheddar Bay biscuit mix, water, and one cup of shredded cheese. Stir gently just until combined, then let sit for a few minutes.
Cooking Meat
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and diced onion, cooking until meat is browned and onions softened, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess grease, then season the mixture with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and the remaining cheddar cheese until fully incorporated.
Assembly
  1. Drop the biscuit mixture onto the meat filling by spoonfuls, leaving space for even cooking.
Baking
