  • 24 pieces cherry tomatoes Fresh and ripe for best flavor.
  • 12 pieces mini mozzarella balls Can substitute with low-fat mozzarella for a lighter option.
  • 24 leaves fresh basil leaves Choose vibrant green leaves.
  • to taste extra-virgin olive oil For drizzling.
  • to taste balsamic reduction For drizzling.
  • to taste sea salt For seasoning.
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper For seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
  2. Thread one cherry tomato onto each mini skewer.
  3. Add a mini mozzarella ball after the tomato.
  4. Follow up with a fresh basil leaf. Repeat the pattern until the skewer is filled (2 tomatoes, 1 cheese ball, and 1 basil leaf).
  5. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter and drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic reduction.
  6. Sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Notes

These skewers are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Prepare individual components in advance for quicker assembly.
