Preparation
- Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
- Thread one cherry tomato onto each mini skewer.
- Add a mini mozzarella ball after the tomato.
- Follow up with a fresh basil leaf. Repeat the pattern until the skewer is filled (2 tomatoes, 1 cheese ball, and 1 basil leaf).
- Arrange the skewers on a serving platter and drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic reduction.
- Sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Notes
These skewers are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Prepare individual components in advance for quicker assembly.
