Method
Make the Special Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Prepare the Tacos
- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions. Press a thin, even layer of beef onto one side of each tortilla. Season with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
Cook the Beef
- Heat the neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the tortillas, beef-side down, into the skillet. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the beef is deeply browned and crispy.
Flip & Add Cheese
- Carefully flip the tacos. Add a slice of American cheese to the top of the beef. Cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until the tortilla is lightly golden and the cheese has melted.
Assemble
- Remove the tacos from the skillet. Top each one with shredded iceberg lettuce, dill pickle chips, and finely chopped onion. Drizzle a generous amount of the special sauce over the top.
Serve
- Fold the tacos and serve immediately while hot and crispy. Enjoy your Big Mac Tacos fresh for the best taste and texture!
Notes
These tacos are perfect for meal prep. Store leftover assembled tacos in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For healthier options, use leaner ground turkey or whole wheat tortillas. Experiment with sauces for more unique flavor combinations.
